When Tom and Melodie booked me as they’re wedding photographer I was delighted as I had never shot at Buxted Park before. Shooting at a wedding venue for the first time is always a fantastic experience, the imagination starts to run wild! The hotel for those that don’t know is in Uckfield, East Sussex, a beautiful part of the country.
Preparations on the big day started at Buxted Park hotel, Melodie had a beautiful room including amazing chandeliers and huge gold framed mirrors. In addition to this there were some huge windows allowing the daylight to pour into the room. The church service was held at St John the Evangelist, a local church to Buxted Park and only a short drive away.
Guests were welcomed to the church by a piper in full Scottish regalia. The church itself is beautiful, very olde world. After the service we all headed back to Buxted Park, the sun was shining with blue skies, perfect! The grounds around the hotel are extensive and very picturesque, perfect for wedding photos! The state rooms on the ground floor are very grand and set the scene perfectly for a wedding reception.
Below is a small selection from various parts of the day. I hope you enjoy them.
