Hever Castle’s Rich History Adds Interest To Your Wedding Day
Hever Castle is one of Kent’s most majestic and historically significant wedding venues. Mark and Linda got married at St Lawrence Church in Bidborough with their wedding Reception at the castle. We had an incredible day with the finale of the evening being a live Ceilidh Band playing.
Hever Castle, is intertwined with the history of the Tudor monarchy. It was the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, King Henry VIII’s second wife, then after her death, was passed to Anne of Cleves.
Today it is privately owned by the Guthrie family, who are passionate preservers of this historic estate.
Hever castle offers three unique venues, which enables couples to enjoy this historic setting on their wedding day, regardless of the weather or time of year.
The Astor Wing is peaceful and private, with a view overlooking the castle. This venue combines the benefits of a grand castle location with a more romantic atmosphere created by the intimate space.
The Italian Gardens offer a picturesque outdoor space for Summer weddings. Guests are welcome to enjoy champagne on the lawns, before adjourning to the wedding breakfast in the light and airy, Palladian style Guthrie Pavillion.
During the winter months, weddings can be hosted in the Castle Inner Hall, with the reception being held in the Castle Great Hall.
Outside the castle grounds offer numerous stunning photographic locations, including the bridge over the moat, a the view across the lake.
