Nettlestead Place: A Wedding Photographer’s Dream Venue
Situated in the heart of Kent, Nettlestead Place is a medieval manor house, offering romantic weddings and civil ceremonies.
As a Kent wedding photographer, I have been privileged to attend numerous venues in this corner of England, but few are as atmospheric as Nettlestead Place.
The 13th century Undercroft, with stone columns and arches, provides the ideal location for ceremonies, while the generous outdoor marquee creates a bright, relaxed atmosphere for receptions.
The bridal suite is large, welcoming, and even offers its own kitchen facilities. The suite makes an ideal base for the bridal party to spend the morning, and there is plenty of space for a photographer too.
The 10 acre gardens offer a variety of backgrounds for wedding photographs, from formal planting, to a more relaxed wild look. The range of planting within the gardens ensures that whatever the season, there will be an beautiful area within the gardens in which to photograph the bride and groom. The manicured lawns and broad terraces provide outdoor space for your guests, with a view over a large sunken pond, the gardens, and beyond to the Kent countryside.
And should the weather turn against us, the Undercroft can be rearranged and beautifully lit to create a dramatic indoor backdrop.
