Rich and Hayley tied the knot at the Priory Church of Saint Bartholomew the Great, adjacent to Smithfield Market in London. It is London’s oldest church with its history dating back to 1123. Quite a few Hollywood stars have visited St Bartholomew’s as it’s been used as a set for numerous movies, including Robin Hood, Sherlock Holmes and Four Weddings and a Funeral. This was my first time shooting a wedding here and will stay in my memory for a very long time.
Rich and Hayley had a very intimate service with immediate family and close friends. The church itself is nothing short of stunning! However this jaw dropping beauty does come at a cost, its VERY dark. When I say dark, this is by far the darkest location I have shot in some time, if not the darkest ever. This throws up a lot of challenges for wedding photographers, especially when no flash is allowed. Picking on my years of experience and using every tool from the photographer’s tool case I think the results are, well, fantastic!
